Aoife Shelly

Clonakenny, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, 30th of March 2025

Predeceased by her grandfather Paddy Shelly.

To the inexpressible grief of her Heartbroken mother Claire, dad Joe, brother Eoghan,

Grandparents Tom, Anne Hassett and Eileen, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and a very large circle of friends.

May Aoife rest in peace.

Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home Templemore (E41 Tr83) this Wednesday Evening from 3 pm to 7 pm. Requiem Mass in St. Brigid’s Church Clonakenny on Thursday at 12 noon. Interment in the adjoining Cemetery afterwards.

    Our entire school community is shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely death of Aoife. We were privileged that Aoife completed her teaching practice in Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré last year. She displayed so many characteristics of a wonderful teacher. She joined our staffroom and made friends with ease. She taught her students with compassion, warmth and a great sense of fun. The measure of her was not only her commitment to her students and her studies but the work she immersed herself in outside of the classroom. She embraced every class and task with her distinct smile and no job was too big or too small for Aoife to try. She was a pleasure to work with and was a gifted teacher in the making. We are saddened for all of Aoife’s family, her friends and her clubmates. We are so grateful we got the opportunity to have Aoife on staff and we will hold her memory very dearly for evermore.
