I was deeply saddened to hear of Rody Cawley’s passing. I was priviledged to get to know him on his trips to America and remember his warm smile, kind spirit, and genuine curiosity he brought to everything – especially his love of plants and gardening. His visits to America were a joy and it was easy to see how deeply he cared for his family. He will be remembered with great affection!

Rody was a man of great character and warmth. Every time he entered a room or stepped onto the golf course, he brought light, laughter, and good banter. As President of Templemore Golf Club in 2023, he was a true ambassador for the game and for our club.
