The death has occurred of

Liam Maher

August 8th, 2026

Kilduff, Killea, Templemore, Tipperary and late of School Road, Rathcoffey South, Clane, Co Kildare

After a long illness, bravely borne, peacefully in the presence of his family in University Hospital Limerick. Predeceased by his mother Stasia. Will be very sadly missed by his father Laurence, sisters Mairead & Sharon, brother Tim, brother-in-law Donal, nephews Conor & Cormac, Jesuit Community & former colleagues in Clongowes Wood College, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Liam Rest In Peace

Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home, Templemore this Monday evening from 5 PM to 7 PM, followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Templemore. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Templemore.

He looked after both staff & students with great good humour and genuine care. We all enjoyed many evenings with Liam in The Royal Oak. Liam supported the boys in all their rugby campaigns & was particularly kind to the GAP staff from Australia.He always showed them the local hotspots.
    As a Kilkenny woman I had great banter over hurling with him !
