Liam Maher

August 8th, 2026

Kilduff, Killea, Templemore, Tipperary and late of School Road, Rathcoffey South, Clane, Co Kildare

After a long illness, bravely borne, peacefully in the presence of his family in University Hospital Limerick. Predeceased by his mother Stasia. Will be very sadly missed by his father Laurence, sisters Mairead & Sharon, brother Tim, brother-in-law Donal, nephews Conor & Cormac, Jesuit Community & former colleagues in Clongowes Wood College, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Liam Rest In Peace

Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home, Templemore this Monday evening from 5 PM to 7 PM, followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Templemore. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Templemore.

In the depths of Covid, whilst refurbishing our hallway, we found an envelope that had been slid under an unused doorway several weeks previously. It was from chef congratulating us on our new born. That was chef, humble, not seeking adulation… as a priest once said to me, be there, be caring, that was Chef.
