The death has occurred of

Thomas Gerard Ryan (Ger)

Shanakill House, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, 12th of September 2024, in the excellent care of the Matron, Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Dean Maxwell Home, Roscrea.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Margaret, his brother Oliver, sisters in law, Phil and Ann, his niece Sarah and nephew Eamon.

Sadly, mourned by brothers Loughlin, Paddy and Michael, his sister Bernie (Dillon), sisters in law Breda and Mary, brother-in-law John, his nephews and nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, and godchildren, Relatives and kind neighbours and large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home Templemore (Eircode E41 Tr83) this Sunday Evening from 4 pm. Removal at 7 pm to St. Anne’s Church Clonmore to arrive at 8 pm. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon. Interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Templemore afterwards.

House private please.

The family would very much like to thank Dr. Patrick Yon Hin, Roscrea, Sarah and the palliative care team that called to Ger at home. We would like to thank all the people who helped Ger over the years, and all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff in the various hospitals that Ger attended over the recent years.

    Ger arrived in Shanakill on 29/2/53. There was 6 months between us so we were in same class in school. Only 6 of us in that class. Ger left school early teens to help his father on the farm which he loved n was a very good farmer. He loved going to the mart n Eventhough leaving school early he had wonderful social skills n was known far n wide If you were unsure of relationships Ger was the man “to trace”. Over 20 years ago he went to Athy n lived one day at a time since then. He sold numerous tickets annually for Sr Conscillos raising much money for their services. If you did something for him he would arrive with cake biscuits n children did well with his bars of chocolate. A very kind n generous man May he find peace in Heaven
