Michael J Treacy

Michael J. Treacy (Mick), 89 years old, passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on August 5, 2026. Born in Killea, Tipperary, Ireland, Mick emigrated to America in his 50s after staying home to run his family farm and lovingly care for his parents, Agnes and Thomas Treacy (deceased). Mick was known for his generosity and kindness. He was loved and respected in Killea and Pearl River. He loved watching the Irish games, playing cards, and golfing with his many friends.

He is survived by his sister Agnes and his brother Thomas (Kathleen). Brother-in-law Pat, Many adoring nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces great gran nephews, many cousins’ neighbours and friends.  He is predeceased by his siblings Stephen, Kathleen, William, Nancy, Mary, Winnie, Peggy, Theresa and Bridget. Mick was so well loved by everyone who knew him. He will be in our hearts forever. Ar dheis go raibh a anam.

Requiem Mass in St. James’s Church Killea this Sunday morning at 12 noon, interment of ashes in the adjoining Cemetery afterwards.
